Goedemorgen Bruggs

I was as excited as ever to ride on a horse carriage , tumbling and tapping across the cobblestoned street admiring the beautiful architecture this city has to offer. We started right on the Markt area early in the morning overlooking the belfry of Brugges towards the Provincial Hof, now used for ceremonial purposes.

The next on our list was Church of our Lady.It was beaming with a soaring tower and we grabbed our camera for some good photos. The most pleasant surprise was the Basilica of Holy Blood. It is a gothic dark architectural delight on the corner of the street and because the entry is too small to be missed by visitors.. we arrived near the church during the prayer time. It was a magnificent site and was worth each moment. it claims to have preserved a cloth soaked in Jesus blood. The stained glass, the detailing of the church was worth appreciating. It was mystique and truly admirable.

Quenching the thirst visit to The Halve Mann Brewery was a must to do on our list. We had some Brugse Zot , some Straffe Hendrik and some nibbles to go with it. we headed back to the city tour and get some lunch with belgian speciality water zooi and stoverij.

Time as always for my sweet tooth after lunch.. waffle with strawberry. Belgian waffle are chewy and light.. good munch anytime in a day.I never resisted anytime for this delicacy.

We planned to try photography during the golden hour at Minnewater Park. Minnewater is lake of love as popularly perceived as. Romance is in air and you can feel it..
